Team Carolina AAU: What You Need To Know
Team Carolina has quickly become one of the largest, most comprehensive instructive based basketball organizations in the southeast. This past Spring, Summer and Fall-2019 season, OVER 91 TEAMS participated in the Team Carolina AAU Program (Raleigh-Durham and Asheville). Repetition is the key to success, and all of our teams train consistently on a structured and designed curriculum which dramatically impacts player development.
An Unparalleled Plan to Player Development
A Professional Strategy
Expanded Parent Education
In addition to our annual Signing Night and Parent Orientation, our Director of Development will be conducting multiple parent education seminars for parents to attend regarding the most important issues affecting players today. These parent education webinar forums will be conducted on topics such as nutrition, playing with confidence, The role of a parent in club sports, stretching and injury prevention, strength and power training, improving your vertical jump, Skills and Private Training Recommendations, summer camp options and many more.
More NCAA Exposure Tournament Opportunities
In addition to our on staff NCAA Recruiting Advisor, our athletes in 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th grades will have an expanded opportunity to attend the large NCAA Invitation Only Exposure tournaments during the open recruiting periods. Here you will play in front of college coaches in locations such as Atlanta, Chicago and other regional city events. Our coaches and staff will also be advising and instructing our athletes through practice "mock" college coach phone calls and "how to communicate" seminars. Further, each participating athlete will have access to their own online website personal recruiting page, and a much more comprehensive emphasis on recruiting preparation.
Year Round Skills Training
Every Team Carolina Athlete will have the opportunity to again attend Weekly Professional Skills Training led by our NBA Trainers John Williams & Michko Massago. These sessions, which begin in December for athletes named to a team from Early Spring Tryouts and will continue throughout the entire Spring AAU season (until June 1). This is included at no additional fee for all of our participants.
Newly added Asheville, Lake Norman and Columbia Team Carolina Locations
Our expansion with six teams in each of our new regions enables you to have access to more effective resources for your continued development and team benefit. All of our supportive staff and trainers are directly involved with each location, the end result........YOU benefit.
The Team Carolina Basketball Program which began in 2002, is a Non-Profit 501C-3 under the Amateur Athletic Union umbrella that offers intense competitive AAU Basketball Teams throughout the Carolinas; Lake Norman, NC, Columbia, SC and out of its host facility, Hoops City U in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina. In the past five years alone, over 2,400 athletes have played AAU with Team Carolina which have achieved three (3) AAU Division I National Championships, multiple State Championships and a substantial quantity of players continuing their basketball playing at the collegiate level. We offer AAU opportunities in three levels of competitive play for Boys and Girls Teams Grades 2 thru 11:
Team Carolina - NCAA Exposure
Team Carolina - National
Team Carolina - Regional
Team Carolina Teams become a family over the course of the season. They bond not only while on the court, but also while traveling together, eating together, and through learning and studying together during basketball classroom sessions.
