Trent's Weekly Blog

We are heading into our last week! The Fall season is short, but I believe it’s been very beneficial for everyone. I know it has for myself as I am learning every day how to do my job better.

Last week I talked with the group about OPPORTUNITY. I mentioned a quote, “The little things don’t lead to bigger opportunities. The little things are the opportunity.” Let that sink in for bit. We tend to think, “when I get there...then I’ll do this or be able to do that...” But that is not how it works. You will only be ready for the next step if you properly train for it right now. Yes, be patient for your “break”, but you have to be willing to work in that waiting period. The waiting period is really the training period. The waiting period or seemingly small thing is actually where the big opportunity awaits you. Don’t miss out on the next level by failing to become your absolute best at the current level...

Again, reminder that early Spring tryouts are coming up! Details here:
Sunday, October 21st and 28th

  • Grades 2,3,4: 1:00 – 2:00pm
  • Grades 5,6,7: 2:00 – 3:30pm
  • Grades 8,9,10,11,12: 3:30 – 5:00pm

Those selected to a team now will have the opportunity to train the entire Winter FOR FREE on Sundays!!

Have a great week and lets finish this season strong!!

At Team Carolina, we are committed to the complete holistic development of the entire student-person-player. As such, we do things much differently than most basketball organizations.

"Our Tryout Selection Process" (below) provides a power point presentation that provides you with a step by step process to our assessment and ultimately, a decision of potential offer relative to the tryout process.
